Message from the CEO/Head of School
Welcome to Kingsbury!
Kingsbury is a haven for families searching for a place where their children will be understood, challenged to their potentials, and loved.
We understand that every child is unique with particular strengths and challenges. We know that children with learning disabilities will succeed in the right environment where true teaching reflects the best of what we know about education and where each student’s program is individualized to his or her specific learning style, pace, and achievement.
We also know that a label should never define a child. A learning disability is merely a category, useful only insofar as it assists us in helping students reach for their potentials. Our primary "job," the goal for which we hold ourselves accountable to parents, is to educate each student to his or her potential. It is indeed a wondrous moment when a student, previously frustrated by inappropriate or inadequate teaching modes, sees that they are no longer limited and soar up into a new world of exciting learning.
Before a child can be taught, he or she must be loved. Kingsbury teachers understand that their connections with students are the building blocks of great educational leaps. Our faculty members know each student as a person, and because of that they are able to challenge students to reach for their best every day.
Welcome to Kingsbury, an extraordinary place where our three divisions—day school, diagnostic center, and tutoring center—all work together to ensure your child’s needs are fully met. I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Eric M. Isselhardt
