Providing a transformative educational and social experience for children and adults with learning differences
KEEP: Kingsbury Early Education Program Curriculum

KEEP is an innovative, full-day educational program for children aged four and five with developmental delays. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten curriculum integrates critical areas of learning, including pre-academics, motor skills, daily living and social/emotional development. Instruction is differentiated and individualized according to the needs of each student.

Through play, students access thematically-based centers that are stationed throughout the classroom. This research-based best practice approach entices youngsters to explore concepts in greater depth. Such activities help students build the foundations for Reading, Writing and Math.

Students in KEEP increase their awareness about themselves as learners who are part of a social community. Daily meetings teach social problem- solving skills, the development of friendships, self-regulation and self-awareness.

Speech & Language Services, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy are provided on a  push-in basis.

The goal of the program is to strengthen students’ attention, critical thinking skills and behaviors critical to future academic success. Successful completion of KEEP prepares students to matriculate to the Lower School or to other less restrictive school placements.
