3rd Annual Kingsbury Transformer 5K Run/Walk/Skip is May 10th!

Here's an opportunity to get some exercise, spend time with family and friends, enjoy the wonderful spring weather and know that you are helping to change lives.

All funds raised will go to benefit Mrs. Marion Kingsbury's dream of providing support for children with learning differences.

WHEN:  Saturday, May 10, 2014, 9:00 a.m.
Packet pick-up begins at 9:00 a.m.
5K race begins at 9:30 a.m.
1 mile relay race (4-person) begins at 10:00 a.m.

WHERE:  Roosevelt Senior High School, 4301 13th St. N.W., Washington, DC  20011 (located off of Iowa Street between Upshur and 13th St. N.W.)

WHY:  The Kingsbury Center provides a transformative educational and social experience for children and adults with learning differences (LD). Each year, Kingsbury serves nearly 1,000 children, adults and families within the DC metropolitan area.

COST: The registration fee is $35.00 per adult; $10.00 per student; or $50.00 per family.

AFTERWARD:   
Enjoy breakfast at The Kingsbury Center (5000 14th St. NW, Washington, DC  20011) and attend the Kingsbury PTA's Family Festival, starting at 11:00 a.m. The $5.00 per person entry fee covers food (Chick-Fil-A truck!), rides, games, do-it-yourself crafts and all other activities.

ABOUT THE KINGSBURY CENTER: The Kingsbury Center provides a transformative educational and social experience for children and adults with learning differences. The Center includes a day school for students with learning differences (LD) and ADHD; tutoring and diagnostic and psychological services divisions; and departments that provide occupational and physical therapy and speech and language services. Our teachers, psychologists, tutors, occupational and physical therapists, as well as our speech and language therapists bring a wealth of training, experience and expertise, along with a genuine passion for helping children and adults who learn differently.
