Kingsbury provides comprehensive testing, diagnostic and psychotherapy services for children and adults with learning differences. We offer a convenient location; convenient day, evening, and weekend hours; and exceptional services from a skilled team of a dozen licensed therapists and assessment specialists, all of whom have doctoral degrees.
We offer Comprehensive Diagnostic Services, including:
WISC and WPPSI assessments
Testing for dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities
Assessing autism spectrum disorders, ADD and ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental disorders
Neuropsychological assessments of strengths and weaknesses
Assessing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
Assessing the learning challenges of gifted people
Psychotherapy Services offered at Kingsbury can assist children and adults to develop:
Enhanced brain functioning
Resilience and problem-solving
Using personal strengths to overcome challenges
Improved social communication and awareness
These services are woven as needed into the learning programs of students attending Kingsbury Day School.
All of our Diagnostic and Psychological Services are also available to children and youth attending other public and private schools, and to adults throughout the Greater Washington area, including Maryland and Virginia. Our goal is to help anyone who learns differently, feels “different,” or just wants to make a change in their life.
