Kingsbury psychologists are highly skilled at administering and interpreting neuropsychological tests for a variety of purposes. Our comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations address:
Dyslexia and other specific learning disabilities
Standardized Testing Accommodations (SSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, Bar Examinations)
Workplace Acccommodations under the Americans With Disabilities Act
ADHD in Children and Adults
Gifted Students with Learning Disabilities
Autism Spectrum Disorders
Social and Emotional Difficulties (Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-Esteem)
Each evaluation is tailored to address your concerns but also sufficiently comprehensive to meet documentation standards for accommodations. We provide up-to-date recommendations, including technological resources to improve academic success. Diagnostic testing includes an intake interview to understand your concerns, several hours of testing with a licensed psychologist, and an in-depth feedback session. Teens are invited to have their own feedback sessions to better understand their learning challenges at no additional cost.
The Kingsbury Center is well-known for our thorough testing and reports. While testing is expensive, many parents find that our reports and recommendations provide a clear road map for identifying supports and services for their children. We will be happy to have brief phone conversation to discuss your concerns and whether diagnostic testing is warranted.
All of our Diagnostic and Psychological Services are also available to children and youth attending other public and private schools, and to adults throughout the Greater Washington area, including Maryland and Virginia. Our goal is to help anyone who learns differently, feels “different,” or just wants to make a change in their life.
