Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy

Our certified physical therapists integrate services to help students build the gross motor skills needed to fully engage in learning in the classroom, participate in activities on the playground, and engage in social settings with their school peers. Physical therapists support the physical education classes in the lower school program on a weekly basis.  Our therapists also consult with teaching staff in order to make sure all of our students have the correct seating options in the classroom.

For an additional fee physical therapists at Kingsbury provide full evaluations and give direct one to one services for our students.  Areas addressed in individual therapy sessions include:
  • Core strength and endurance
  • Balance and coordination
  • Gross motor skills
  • Functional mobility to address problems with gait
  •  Motor planning and sequencing skills
  • Confidence participating in sports and in playground and community activities
